5/30/07 New
Paintings on display during
the month of June at Interzone, plus a reception on June 2 - Saturday
6:30-9:30. I might bake cookies...

Rabbit Food Cookbook
is still in the process of a new edition - I know this has been taking
forever. I'm closing in on the details and hope to be
printing a
new and improved 500-run edition finally, maybe by the end of May. If
you're looking to buy a copy of RFC, be patient a little longer. The
last edition is basically sold out right now. Also, my paintings are yet again
scheduled to show at Interzone Coffeehouse in Corvallis in June.
Regulars and staff are in for their annual treat of seeing my new work
all month, and I have something to plan for, and a reason to buy some
more frames. Cheers. 4/20/07
Featured profile on www.artistaday.com site for April
15th day.
Also, I am still working with the project of a new edition of
Rabbit Food Cookbook and printing a
larger volume. This will
eventually come together and when it does, I'll update the website.

More awards - this time for the recent Parking Garage #2 (Corvallis) at
the Corvallis Art Center Howland Open Exhibit. This piece was awarded
the 2D Category award, but also won the people's choice vote.
This is great - very much an affirmation that I am not just a
one
hit wonder with the Speed Queen painting! In other news, I am still
working on the
updated edition of Rabbit
Food Cookbook, to be printed by a printer.
Easy in theory, but there are a million print shops and
companies
out there. Wish me luck in pinning one down and making a
"real"
first printed edition a reality. 9/6/06
Once again, the popularity of my Speed Queen painting is reaffirmed.
I want my other work to be loved, but I guess I can't
complain that this piece is a favorite. At the Oregon State
Fair "Oregon Art Annual" exhibit in Salem, Speed Queen won a
2nd prize and a People's Choice prize for the overall show! I
received some prize money and 2 hotel gift packages graciously donated
by Oregon.com,
one of the sponsors at the Fair this year. My recent piece
Cars at Night, I-5 was also on display. 9/5/06
A new boutique called Truly, opening later this month in
White Bear Lake, Minnesota will be carrying some of my Beth Bee Books
products, depending on inventory. They will at least have the
Blank Recipe Book at this point. The other books are out of
stock here at HQ, and I am not sure when I will have time to make more,
possibly by October. Sorry! 7/15/06
One of my pastels, "Crooked River at Smith Rock", is on display through
the 29th of July at the Laselle-Stuart Center at the OSU campus in a
community exhibit associated with DaVinci Days in Corvallis.
(It is priced for sale). 6/6/06
Working on new oil paintings, no upcoming showings are currently
scheduled until the Fall Festival Gallery entry in September. The March
show was very encouraging/positive.
In other news, a small representation of Beth Bee Books will be at the
Brooklyn, NY Renegade Craft Fair June 17-18 c/o
Meredith from NeverTwice.com online shop!
Check out the websites- if I could go I think I would spend
all of my money! 3/14/06
The showing at Interzone Coffeehouse has been up, and will be through
Friday evening, March 31. Thanks everyone who has taken an interest and
left me comments. 2/12/06
Entered "the Reception" into the annual community open for this month -
on display through February at the Arts Center here. It has
won an Honorable Mention in the 2D category for the contest portion -
not the 1st prize like last year, but it isn't as popular a painting as
Speed Queen. I am excited to win something in both years I
have entered this show. 1/10/06
I'm donating a "bird pastel" for the LetLive fundraising auction on
January 20 in Portland. For more information about the event
go to www.foodfightgrocery.com.

I will be planning to have another showing of work at Interzone
Coffeehouse in Corvallis in March 2006. 11/27/05
Go-live for new, redesigned website and bethbee.com domain name.
Now I have to check for bugs, excuse the imperfections while
I do this. I have finally fleshed out sections that were
never thorough in my old site. The new site will look similar
in content to the old, but there are some definite improvements.
Enjoy! 10/29/05
Redesign of the website is finally in progress.
Monday, September 12, 2005 I have fixed the error in remaining copies,
but check your copy of Rabbit Food Cookbook for a missed cup of flour
in the "fancy brownies" recipe. It should call for 1 1/3 cups
flour not just 1/3 cup.
Thursday, June 6, 2005 In the last couple of months, I actually
agreed to sell a painting, and did so last month. The piece
sold is the oil pastel of the train along the Columbia River.
Thursday, February 10, 2005 Speed Queen (the laundromat) won awards in
the Howland Community Exhibit at the Corvallis Arts Center.
For this piece I won both the 2-D category and the People's
Choice Award. Yay!
Tuesday, February 1, 2005 I put up 11 oil paintings and pastels for my
Feb. show at Interzone Coffeehouse here in Corvallis, and the "Speed
Queen" laundromat piece is at the Corvallis Arts Center for the month.
Monday, November 29, 2004 I finally finished the laundromat paiting.
I need to speed up my process - it's been months!
Thursday, May 27, 2004 Posted my latest completed oil painting -
large, and this time an "urban" landscape from Chicago.
Monday,March 22, 2004 Rabbit Food, and the addressbooks will be
carried by a nice online crafting site called Never Twice, put
together by the girls who do Portland's HandMade Bazaars.
Also, Food Fight is starting up an online store.
Some bad news is that Monkey Business in Chicago is going out
of the storefront business. :( .
Sunday, January 11, 2004 The new edition of Rabbit Food
has been done for a while and is available. It now has the
title on the cover rather than "recipes" and I added about 4 new
recipes. Oh, and Food
Fight Vegan Grocery, up in Portland, is carrying the cookbook
now too. Sunday, November 2, 2003 I have sold or consigned my last copies of
the previous edition of Rabbit Food !,
and I'm hard at work assembling the next mini-edition.
I took the opportunity to add a few new recipes and notes.
